Location
The Casa Martini B&B is located on Strada Nuova, a 5-minute walk from the Santa Lucia train station on the route that goes from Piazzale Roma to the Rialto, in a characteristically charming and enchanting Venetian neighborhood.
Casa Martini's balconies overlook Rio Terà San Leonardo, a street filled with stores and the colorful stands of the fruit market and enveloped in the lively atmosphere of the most authentic Venice, that of the bacari (traditional local inns) and the cicchetterie (Venetian tapas bars) that invite you to sip a spritz, the famous Venetian aperitif!
Not far from Casa Martini, you will find the splendid Palazzo Vendramin-Calergi (site of the Venice Casino) and a stop of the vaporetto that sails the Grand Canal to Saint Mark's Square, past historic palazzi like Cà d’Oro, Cà Pesaro and Palazzo Grassi, important galleries of ancient and contemporary art.
With a relaxing several-minute walk, you can also reach the Jewish Ghetto - the oldest in Europe! - the Church of the Madonna dell’Orto and the romantic restaurants and nightspots of Fondamenta della Misericordia, the heart of the Cannaregio district.

How to reach us
- By car
- Taking the A4 tollway, exit at Venezia - Mestre and follow the signs for Venezia (Piazzale Roma). Leave your car at the San Marco Garage and cross the new Costituzione (or Calatrava) bridge and follow Lista di Spagna. After 5 to 7 minutes, you will cross the Ponte delle Guglie bridge and, 10 meters beyond, on the left, there is a small lane with a Locanda Martini sign that will lead you to our door.
- Alternatively, take a vaporetto (line 42 or 52) and get off at the Guglie stop, which is a stone's throw from Casa Martini.
- By plane
- From Marco Polo International Airport, take ACTV bus 5 to Piazzale Roma. Then follow the directions under “By car”. Alternatively, you can reach Locanda Martini on the Alilaguna water bus (orange line, departure every 60 minutes) or by water taxi (towards Ponte delle Guglie), which can be reserved, for a charge, when you make your reservation.
- From Treviso's Canova Airport, you can take the ATVO bus to Piazzale Roma. Then follow the directions under “By car”.
- By train
- From Santa Lucia train station, go left to the Ponte degli Scalzi bridge and follow Lista di Spagna. After 5 to 7 minutes, you will cross the Ponte delle Guglie bridge and, 10 meters beyond, on the left, there is a small lane with a Locanda Martini sign that will lead you to our door. Alternatively, take a vaporetto (line 42 or 52) and get off at the Guglie stop, which is a stone's throw from Casa Martini.
